Corrections officer. Welcome. I hope you are not saying that all you see "inside" is "scratch". Some of those guys will acctually get out from there and just might make a career for themselves, and become "corrected" through that. Yes, I am one of those. I now respectfully own a studio, and am a very active member of my comunnity because of where I got my start. Don't get me wrong I am in no way bagging on you, or mean any sort of disrespect in any way, but I just want to make it clear that all Tattoo artist's are welcome in the world of tattooing, as long as they are true to their work and are sanitary. Certification is a must!

no not at all I have seen some amazing stuff inside but alot is pretty bad. We have one guy that got out a few years ago and opened up shop locally and alot of the prison staff go to him.

And of coarse inside alot of stuff isnt done in any sanitary way @ least from what I've seen I've seen people pass used needles to others. I locked up one guy who had tons of dirty tat needles in his property

I have told prison staff they are going to do it anyway why not set up area for them to do it cleanly and let them teach each other and get paid from doing it. I got a big hell no.

Yeah we tried to set some s&!t like that up as well, but got the same answere. So the guards that were cool let me slide on burning ink, and making needles most of the time. They also brought me gloves, microbial soaps, and other stuff to keep sanitary.

Well I joined the forum a month ago and there's some interesting things going on topic wise. Anyhow, I work in a large tattoo studio in Belfast, Ireland which is good. And just a quick thanks to Brandon for the colour blending tip on your DVD. It's great!
