Default Cloth Tape

I'm looking to wrap my coils in a rebuild and wanted to do so using cloth tape. I'm assuming this is simply a cosmetic , but wondered...do any of the forum readers have suggestions on what they use ? The ole white cloth is easy to find at any drug store or dollar store. I'm having a tougher time finding cloth in black or colors that doesn't cost a small fortune at an art store. I saw this online :http://www.goodbuyguys.com/catalog/i...hp/cPath/22_43
and was wondering if that would work.
Thoughts ?

One thing to note about cloth tape- if for some reason you contaminate the machine, the cloth is more difficult to clean than other coil covers.

For my machines I have found that the PVC Capsules used to cap wine bottles work well. They are like heat shrink tube but thinner. Don't know if anyone else has tried this, but it works for me. They are available from any wine making store, and come in many colors and designs.

If your dead set on cloth tape,..google "hockey tape".
Its the same tape that hockey players use to wrap theis sticks with.
Black is easy to find. Any sporting goods store should have it also.

GREAT call on the hockey tape. Being from Hockeytown, you'd think I'd have thuunk of that....
THANKS ! SOmetimes yer too close too the trees. Or the tape.
I understand the obvious contam concerns ( though I bag, and pride my clean rooms and station) .I've got 4 other machines, this is basically a cosmetic rebuild of my first machine, and more of a sentimental piece. I doubt I'll use it much.
Thanks guys !
