I posted a picture in the bad tattoos thread yesterday. I don't want to call any names or anything, but the 'artist' is a guy working in a local shop. He has a bunch of 'diplomas' (cover up tattoos, portraiture tattoos, etc, etc) from a tattoo school. Check out that piece (it's not the worst I've seen of his, but it made me pee a little), haha.

I will be giving a one time only , online educational couse covering all aspects of tattooing. The course will be 120 minutes in duration and after you have completed the course you will be awarded your official ''tattoo diploma'' and ''tattoo artist'' t-shirt. (please allow 6 weeks for delivery) with your t-shirt and diploma you will have everything nessesary to become a successful business owner.

WHOA!!!! Why am I getting roasted...I did not go and am not planning on going...i was just trying to get a conversation going...all I said was "the idea of a school" isn't terrible...clearly the execution is not there yet...I see none of you have been to any kind of school.

i graduated from a 4 year degree program

it's not that the execution sucks but look at most apprenticeships, the only ones that are worth it are 1+ years, anything less you're getting cheated plus they're one on one teaching, not classroom style

f@#k you bro. yah i did go to school as a matter of f@#king fact. art institute of pittsburgh 2001-2004 graffic art/photography. i take a lot of offense when somebody makes a stupid ass statement like that. i busted my f@#king ass there, with a wife and kids. now i'm struggling to make ends meet, because stupid MOTHERf@#kING hacks and TATTOO SCHOOL f@#kTARDS go around tattooing for crack money.tattoo schools are a f@#king joke. and thats f@#king final.
