Default Best way to get ready for html?

Can anyone tell me what is the best way to get ready for html5 and what I should be studying the most?

Don't bother with focusing on HTML5 at the moment, I would focus on XHTML 1.0 Strict, for the most part. Lots of practice, and studying other page's source code. HTML is the easy part, once you get down making basic sites with no validation errors (Use the W3C's validation tool). After that, CSS, Javascript, and PHP are great steps.

I would agree.. HTML5 isn't supposed to be finalized until 2014..
