im actually planning to update my portfolio majorly in january. so ill wait till then to post a link to the rest of my work. a lot of stuff i have up now is old and honestly kinda weak compared to the stuff im doing now.

Keep in mind I'm still a newb for the most part.... I did this last night. I'm pretty happy with it except the textured linework sucks in some areas and I went way overboard with the blue. It draws too much attention.

lookin good man. Member that sometimes simple is better. When you really look at some of the amazing tattoo artist out there, youd be surprised to realize how simple some elements of their tattoos are. But when executed properly the result is a really nice clean look, maybe that is what you dont like about your tattoo.

Just from an artistic standpoint, there seems to be many different light sources. The top of the dynamite should be more of an oval rather than a football. The skull itself is "squished". These may be things that were done intentional though, I don't really know. I'm pretty dumb when it comes to traditional-style tattooing. But those are a few things that stood out to me. Also, the broken linework everywhere. I would decide if you want to have a line, or create the illusion of a line with shading, and stick to it for that area, rather than having a bunch of broken lines, especially with the teeth. But again, that's just personal preference and I'm too biased towards realism to speak for tradition pieces. This probably does you no good. :)

Both of those are well done tho... you pulled off the transparent look just fine. stars like that are harder than they look too. for me at least.

Here is a Marine blood stripe. For those that don't know, on a Marines class a uniform, they have a red stripe, self explanatory.
