Dog Decides Where We Live

My wife and I have been looking for a new place to live for the last few months. We aren't looking to buy for a few more years, just rent. We love the area we are in, but with the baby on the way we want a bigger place. We finally narrowed down to 2 places that we couldn't decide between. They made the decision for us. Or I should say our dog Kale did.

1st place is owned by an older couple, who have been really awesome. We let them know the size of our dog and everything. Showed pictures. They loved him, and actually look forward to meeting him.

2nd place looks amazing, and had a larger fenced back yard. But something about the neighborhood didn't feel as welcoming. While my wife was on the phone with the lady for the neighborhood/realty company, she asked about dogs and what-not. We expect places to not like "dangerous breeds" because it is easier and legally safer to say no to a breed, than to interview and determine whether or not the owner of that breed is a good owner. But when the lady said to my wife, "We need a vet to give us a list of the breeds that make up your dog. [he is a mutt] He can't have any of the breeds on the list of dangerous breeds; because, let's be honest, Pitt Bulls bite." My wife let her know that our dog is not a Pitt Bull, and that we are most definitely not interested in that house, neighborhood, or any of the realtors working with her.

This was almost a week ago, and I can't f@#king let it go. If we replace 'Pitt Bull' with any human race, gender, sexuality, etc; that woman would be up in arms at whoever said it. f@#king twat.

i know it's a pain in the ass, and trust me as a pitbull owner been there done it, and currently im in the process of moving to a more dog friendly area because my current city is talking about jumping on the bus to hate ville and Ignorance with denver. Plus side Denver might have to abandon the law because they can't afford the lawyers anymore, s&!t denver is laying off cops for crist sake but they wanna keep wasting tax payer dollars on enforcing and defending a un-constitutional law, but nothing new Denver thinks they are exempt from the Constitution, we are an Open Carry state which you can't do in denver and we have it in our constitution that you can own any domesticated animals Including f@#king mountian lions but some how I can't have my dog or my gun on my hip in the city limits of denver.........it's F'n BS

I'm just glad we found a place where our dog isn't judged by his color or breed.
