Default Sleeve

Im currently looking into getting a japanese dragon half sleeve from Dave MF Tedder however Ive always really wanted a full sleeve however am not naive to the fact that this could hurt me in the corporate world. In a perfect world Id own my own resteraunt or even a tattoo shop but this world is far from perfect. Anyway my question is, is it a better idea to wait until Im in a position where Ican get a full sleeve or could it come out just as good if I were to do it in installments in other words get the half sleeve and then look to finnish it down the road if Im ready my only worry is if I go down the latter route it wont flow as well.

First of all, if Dave is gonna tattoo you there should be no problem with it "flowing". Second, f^ck the corporate world.

Every time I start a half sleeve on somebody I always ask them if there is the possibility that they are going to go for a full sleeve. If they say yes it's a possibility, I try to design the tattoo so that later on it could be added on to without looking like you tried to piece it together. Yes I do think that it is easier to plan out a whole sleeve rather than two years later trying to come up with the rest. But we see this a lot and I think somebody like Dave teddar will be more than able to give you a half sleeve and it still look like a finished tattoo that could turn into a full sleeve. just my 2 cents.

I think if you tell Dave that you want it done in a way that it could turn into a full sleeve int he future he will make that happen for you. His stuff is sweet, so you'll be in good hands.

I understand the corporate world angle. I get the F the corporate world attitude as well, but do feel you can only have that attitude if you are in a line of work that is not in corporate America. I have a half sleeve for that reason as well. And living in Atlanta, it would be a little toasty to wear a long sleeve shirt to work every day of the year.

Half sleeves are nice too. And think of the money you save in sun screen....

Hey, I have that attitude and I work for the school system. I am the only guy in the building who won't wear a tie. Hell, I don't even tuck in my shirt. I rock Nikes every day and have tattoos all over. I do what I want when I want. You can't let the bosses walk on ya! If you do, they will stomp on you.

And I live in Tampa where the humidity will sufficate you. But I love tattoos, so its a small price im willing to pay.

What I'm saying is if you want full sleeves, go get them. Don't let something like a job or the temperature stop you.

Believe me Id love nothing more than to say f@#k the corporate world. I think we all wish we could win the lottery tommorow and be comfortable the rest of our lives. If it were me Id buy a nice house and spend most of my life traveling all over collecting quality ink along the way but unfortunately thats just not in the cards. I agree that Dave could do a badass half sleeve and then when Im ready make it a badass full especially with my idea since I was hoping to get a black and red dragon o the top of my arm and an asian tiger on the lower part of my arm If I were to get a full sleeve I would have them fighting maybe have the dragon wrapped around the big kitty or something (according to legend dragons and tigers are enemies)but since Ill be getting the upper and lower done seperately Ill probably have the dragon and the tiger doing their own thing. Sorry that Im ranting as you can see Ive put alot of thought into this.

I've seen Dave do a lot of tattoos, trust me you are in good hands. He's run across that scenario many times. He freehands a lot of his tattoos so a lot of times he drawing it specificly for that body part. I'm sure whatever you want to do, Dave will make it happen!!!
