Aftercare
I am getting ready for my half sleeve and so I have been researching the aftercare a little. A lot has changed in the last 11 years. On my last tattoo I just had to moisturize it with Eucerin and that was that. It seems there are a few more things nowadays.
The AON site describes the recommended method, but eludes to method number 2 should you have problems with method number 1. Now I cannot find any method number 2. Does anybody know what they are referring to?
What is your aftercare ritual? I will be traveling for work two days after getting inked. Anything I need to look out for when on the road?
Thanks

Re: Aftercare
well this probably isnt right, but directly after i get one, i go home and wash it with anti-bacterial soap, then pour alcohol in my hand and rub that in, and then put a thin layer of triple antibiotic cream on. i repeat the alcholol/cream routine twice a day, puting on lubriderm a few times in between. after about the forth day i take out the antibiotic and just use lubriderm. i have found the oatmeal formula to work nicley. after about 2 weeks i take out the alcohol and just use the lotion.

Re: Aftercare
this is what i do, and recommend my clients to do. i say this atleast 5 times a day "no swimming, soaking or suntanning. no direct sunlight or water. shower is fine but wash tattooed body part last. wash with warm soapy water (liquid dial) morning and night, and pat dry. thin layer of lubriderm 3x a day."

Re: Aftercare
Let me guess. Jack Daniels is somehow involved?
I still dream of getting a Brandon Bond back piece, or whole sleeve. Maybe if that ever happens I get to see the secret studio. And the secret second method for aftercare.....

Re: Aftercare
"A small percentage of people may develop a more serious reaction, and may require medical attention, so we suggest the use of A&D, unless you've not had problems with Bacitracin in the past."
Can anyone tell me what A&D is? I am drawing a total blank....
