Found a female pitbull today. I need info.

I found a female pitbull tonight after she walked up to my garage when I got out of the car. She recently gave birth to puppies and I'm assuming they're all gone because she hasn't left my garage to tend to them after I gave her food and water. She also has scars and scabs which indicates she's also been a fighting dog. She's very skittish but with a little time and food she's allowed me to get close to her and pet her. She's got a sweet disposition just very hungry and neglected. I don't have a way to take care of her but I also don't want to take her to the pound. So if anyone can give me some ideas I'm willing to do something to give her a chance.

All of our foster homes are so full right now, but let me see if we can find somwhere for her!

hold the dog till you can find a sutible home for her, please dont take it to the pound.
