Thumbs up Re: Eikon EMS-300 vs. Critical Tattoo CX-2

**UPDATE**

I've had the EMS-300 for a few weeks and I have no complaints. The presets allow for a quicker change between machines like when I change from my liner to my shader and vice versa. Definitely an increase in efficiency and speed. The display is great, comes in useful when tuning my machines. It has an option that allows you to press the footswitch down once and it stays on continuously so you don't have to keep your foot on the pedal. Then you just tap it again to turn it off. Comes in handy with time-consuming pieces like tribals for example. The only thing is that it's bigger size-wise than I originally thought it was. So the CX-2 definitely has the smaller form factor. Either way, I agree with what most of you are saying as far as the CX2 being a better option for travel. Hell, I might even pick that one up too and use it when I go on the road!

Great feedback on the 300 even though I expected that kind of feedback anyway EIKON doesn't support or produce trash..........

I looked at the CX-2 before I got my EMS-300 and it's a good power supply. I ended up buying the Eikon unit for the preset features and it works perfect with my rotary. I just wish the preset included my voltage to be set along with Rotary mode on or off instead of just the voltage. Other than that I just put barrier film or a thick piece of clear packaging tape over the operating plane to prevent c.c. and I'm good to go. Definitely Eikon for me plus customer service is coo'.

The Cx-2 has 6 adjustable presets. 3 for lining and 3 for shading. I personally like the cx-2 more than the eikon ( nothing wrong with eikon, this is my personal taste ) as it takes up less space, put a bottle bag over it and i`m good to go.

Eikon must produce cleaner voltage than CX2. Same voltage settings on both meters with same unchanged machine and EMS250 seems to be functioning equally at 1.5v less.
Not a big issue though, just simply adjust your CX2 to the appropriate range. However, I most definitely agree that the CX2 has the Eikon beat on aesthetic development.
I'm still using the older EMS 250 model with 20 turn potentiometer.
