So, while he was tattooing me, Dave mentioned that he just got Planet Earth on BlueRay...and he said it kicked butt.

So, I just got it on DVD.

WOW.

That is all I can say. Planet Earth is THE BEST COLLECTION OF NATURE FOOTAGE EVER SHOT...PERIOD.

Its a totally new look at our world, using camera techniques pioneered just for this production.

It had an unprecedented production budget (over 25 million) and they were granted access to areas literally never seen before by any humans.

For all you nature/animal fans...this is the best $50 you can ever spend on footage of nature.

For you artists: Still shots from this DVD would provide some amazing and very unique reference material. It would be super easy to play it on your laptop and use the PrintScreen button to do screen captures anytime you want to save a still from the DVD.

Seriously...this series has absolutely blown my mind and I HIGHLY recommend it to all of you.

Word. I've been really digging that Planet Earth shtuff since my roommate brought it home. Some really good camera work.

ya know I've seen this dvd set a billion times at work and it looks pretty cool

I'm glad you posted this because I was kinda undecided on paying $50 for something I knew nothing about
