Default Tattoo Machines & their Secrets

One of my biggest weakness is tatoo machines, Now I can tune them and understand the basic concepts but I am not mechanically inclined at all. But I need and want to learn as much as i can. The book is Tattoo Machines & their secrets written by Steve & Art Godoy, it's $100. I was wondering if anyone has read this book or knows these builders. Is the book worth it or are there others out there. Any advice appreciated.

I don't own it but I heard different opinions about it.
Look, misprinted edition (may have some typos):

Try this book by Joey Desormeaux:
Tattoo Machine set-up, tuning and maintenance...He builds badass machines ( I run 2 of em on a regular basis) and the book is very easy to understand--technical stuff is easy to apply to your own stuff...
