Default street shop vs. private shop

I was wondering what the difference in inspections for a street shop vs. a private shop. Are there different regulations?

I'm in process of opening a shop,...attached to my home.

No difference. Board of Health still has to inspect,...fire marshal too,.....handicap accessible,...all the same s&!t.

Why your home? just curios, are you by yourself or are you with people in the industry? I couldn't do a home/ salon type shop, the industry is where I learn I need to be in a place where everyone can feed off of each other and constantly grow. Yeah to get any business liscence you need to jump through a couple of hoops, blow a couple of board members, and jump through hoops while blowing a couple of board members. All without spilling a drop

Why would you want that many people to know where you live?

Home life and work life separated is good stuff. lol

add one more to that...

follow OSHA regs and you'll be fine. But check zoning and everything else like that i know that there are certain counties in PA you can't open a shop in private or otherwise and since out here it is county regulated instead of state that's what you need to check.
