Default Tattoo taking a "long" time to heal...

Any suggestions for a tattoo that is taking a long time to heal? I am going on my 3rd week and I still have scabs and real dry, flaky skin... I have never had any other tattoo act like this one.

Suggestions...

Default healing

An unsented lotion like lubriderm or something may help, but what did you use when you first had your tattoo done?Over application of an ointment can make for a longer heal also.Could be a number of things, did you give your tattooist a call?
