Re: The best tattoo ever!
venus,
i don't work at AON and don't know how they handle e-mail inqueries, but as a joe schmo artist in little-street-shop-usa, unless i know you personally, or you've paypal'd me a deposit for either an appointment or the drawing, e-mails about tattoos don't register as real for me. i, and i imagine my colleagues as well, get asked to draw up tattoo ideas for people all the time...to the point where, if i took all of these requests at face value serious, i would seriously have little time to do anything else. the problem is, not all of these requests are legit and won't turn into income for me. hence the deposit. 99% of places will deduct the amount of the deposit from the final price of the tattoo so you aren't out any extra money and we at least have a little insurance for the time we put into creating your design.
my advice would be to browse the artist galleries and find an artist's style you like and then call the studio and start making arrangements with that artist. don't be alarmed if they do request a deposit and also don't worry if the initial design is a little off the mark. it can be changed, tweaked and altered until you're happy with it being on your skin.
hope this helped
