Does anyone make and print their own silk screens?
I've been dabbling off and on for years making screens and printing for myself and friends. I was curious if anyone else did this stuff, Lets trade ideas! It's fun.

Re: Does anyone make and print their own silk screens?
Hey Tommi, An artist at my shop has enough equipment to operate a complete screen printing shop. His father fully funded a relative of his with promise to repay him. Well, the print shop defaulted on the business so it left him with all the equipment and it's pretty much sitting in a garage being unused. John that works for me was dabbling with it for a few months but I haven't seen anything recently being done. It's pretty complex equipment because when he received it he had to travel to Philadelphia for training seminars on how to operate, keep maintenance, and other things with the gear.

Sometimes I buy letters at Wal-Mart and iron them onto shirts. They usually have something written on them that is making fun of a friend.

I'd like to learn more on the idea of multi-color printing, I have the single color/photo emulsion screening down pretty well. .....Thanks joe, I have a friend that is getting his clothing line rolling, he may be interested in the more complex stuff for sale, I'll shoot him an email,
