I am going to chronicle my quest for an apprenticeship here.
Yesterday (after my car broke down) I walked about 5 miles to tenth street tattoo and talked to Shane Willoughby. Shane is an amazing artist and I was in awe of his work.
I got the same message from Shane "we do not have any apprenticeship openings right now". I did get a chance to show him some artwork however and got a little encouragement from that. Shane told me that East Side Tattoo may be willing to take me on as an apprentice and that if I drew up some flash he would buy it from me, I thought this was a pretty big step forward and could possibly be a way to get my name out there.

Thats what he said I did that put me miles in front of others.
