Question Spanish moss, yes?

Hopefully this is in the right section of the boards, I just joined the message board!

Okay, I have been wanting to get a midsized Southern magnolia branch with a flower and a bud on my upper back or shoulderblade. I felt that this was too plain though, and have never gone to an artist to draw a design out for me. My real issue now is that I would love to have Spanish moss hanging from the branch. Would this even be possible? I haven't seen any detailed moss tattoos before, so I am completely clueless. I want it to be realistic of course, but I don't know how far that can go... hmm.. thanks guys!

i have trimmed trees from west palm.fl. to chattanooga tn. and never have i seen Spanish mos grow on a magnolia? mostly scrub oaks, oaks and pine tree's. but never say never. my view on it is magnolia tree's have big leaves that should fill out any empty space and fill up your shoulder blade along with the flower its self (its a big flower)and show just a peace of the branch

In Louisiana, where I'm from, it does grow on magnolias.

I'll probably still end up getting it without the moss, but my other concern was that the flower is white. I know there is white ink, but have heard that the color doesn't "last" too long. Would it have to be tinted a yellowish/sepia color?

up my way we call it beard lichen. it's gorgeous. it grows on any tree available. magnolias too. I think it's a good idea, but you'd probably wanna bring along some good close up photographs for reference for the artist
