Is the needle bar at the same angle in relation to the tube tip?

its hard to say without looking at it.
could be any number of things:
rubberbands, check your tension.
crooked tube vice holding the needle incorrectly.
crooked tube tip.
not enough or too much stroke.
etc.

what type of machine is it?
if its not an easily solvable problem, the builder of the machine should be able to help you out.

Thanks Fellas, I did everything you said, but not the tension tho (maybe that's it). I also cranked it up & turn it down still doing the same thing. When I switch to my other liner (time machine), it's fine. This is a National Machine that's messing up w/ me.

sand down your contact screw?
use an alcohol wipe to clean off all contact points?
and if all else fails... if you want a cheaper replacement
check out pacorollins.com and get one of his 125$ deals.
they are probably cheaper than a new national anyway...
solid, dependable, guaranteed, and cost effective.
not a lot can go wrong with his no frills machines, and
i swear by them.
good luck and hope that helps.

i cant stress pacos machines enough though. i have used MANY top machines
and i use his liner daily, still.

or even cheaper...just gut it to the frame (which isn't bad at all) and replace all the parts with a parts kit from eikon, luckys, or kingpin. i had to do that with my sharpz a while back....but they are weird. i kinda hate them. haha peace.

I don't think it's contact screw 'cuz it sounds fine... Is it's the spring, that machine suck then, I've been only using it for less than a year, & I tattoo only on the weekends...
