Yup, it looked like it worked. Here's the letter I recieved.

Following tens of thousands of e-mails to Nike, as well as PETA protests outside Niketown stores calling on the company to cut ties with Michael Vick in light of horrific allegations of his involvement with dogfighting rings, Nike has released the following statement:

"Nike has suspended Michael Vick's contract without pay, and will not sell any more Michael Vick product at Nike-owned retail at this time."

Thanks to all of you for writing to the company about this issue—this couldn't have happened without your support.

Reebok has also made the decision to stop sales of Michael Vick apparel, stating:

"While we respect the legal process we find the allegations against Mr. Vick too disturbing to ignore, therefore, we have decided to immediately suspend selling Vick NFL product, both at retail and online through the Reebok website."

This is great news for anyone who is concerned about cruelty to animals. But we still need your help! Please click here to ask the NFL to follow Nike’s lead and suspend Michael Vick immediately.

I've been thinking about this whole Michael Vick thing and it is terrible, but a good thing has came out of it so far. People are talkin about this subject. It's in the paper and on the TV and that's a good thing. People who had no idea how terrible (including me) this is are now seeing videos and pictures of these poor tortured dogs. It took a NFL football star to get this to the masses and for that, we should thank Mr Vick.

All too many times it takes a celebrity to commit a crime before the general public will even think about talkin about it.
