Sleeves
I am just wondering how long it takes to do a full sleeve in the style that AON typically does? Is four days generally right? Is that 32 hours (8x4)? Is that 20 hours (5x4)? Surely it aint 24x4!!
The reason I ask is I am about to get both sleeves done and I want to plan accordingly for it.

Re: Sleeves
well i dont tat too for a living but the idea is the same in my line of work... if you got the money i got the time.... personaly i have been getting my sleeves done for over a year now... i have very detailed and intricate work that takes a little bit of time... I dont mind it abit... A show stoping award winning tat too is going to take abit longer than a tribal arm band... ALSO I make appts once every 3-4 months... so if i had to bet, id bet that YOU TAP OUT BEFORE YOUR ARTIST DOES....

Re: Sleeves
now im sure if you want a bunch of crap on your arm, it wont take very long... but if you want a show stopper, award winner, free drink getting tat too, that every place you go in the world 65 people are going to stop you and ask you about it and who did it.... you wont mind how long it takes.... but once again....i bet your artist will outlast your arms.... its like hamburger after the 5th hour....

Re: Sleeves
My guess is still around 20 hours total for each sleeve.
Something on this level of quality and detail:

Re: Sleeves
Man...this really depends on the artist, the environment he/she is working in...your pain tolerance, etc....
Before I started mine I was really concerned with the time involved...and I don't really even know why.
Now I am savoring the experience...and I'll actually be kinda sad when my sleeve is finished. Seeing it come together is the best part for me in many ways.
If you are committed to getting a sleeve, then you are in for as many hours and dollars as it will take...so just sit back and enjoy it....you really only get to sleeve each arm once...and once its over you never get to do it again (with some rare exceptions).

Re: Sleeves
Yeah, I have the SEE YOU IN HELL DVD. I love the sleeves that Brandon does! I'd been wanting to get a sleeve for a while, I just want to know what I am in for.

Re: Sleeves
I don't know man...
I've got nothing but line work and a tiny bit of color on my left fore arm and that has taken 15 hours.. but she was slow..
brandons worked on my right forearm and that has taken about 13 hours.
So I don't really see 20 hours with doing a full sleeve.
but thats just my two cents..

Re: Sleeves
Dave lined 70% of my right arm in about two hours (if you don't count breaks and interruptions)....it all depends on the artist I guess.
