After 37 years, the only thing I can think of is that there are a lot of blood vessels in the lip so moving a little faster would prevent the ink/needle from being in one place too long. I've had better then average results in this manner. and I try not to get to detailed in the design. But most people only want a name anyway.

haha ya if it dosent hurt then its not right. the only thing i know is that on my lip the lines that felt like they were being put into my chin THROUGH my lip are the only ones that are still there.

i think for healing you just need to try and keep it dry for the first hour or so so the skin can heal over it. although it would be kinda wierd to hold your lip out for a while. also the fact that i went out drinkin beers the night that i got it don prob dosent help.

haha yeah i've read to keep it as dry as possible for the first few days! espically at night, so i guess im gonna stock up on gauze and cotton balls for my cheeks and under my tongue. now i've got to get some advice to pass to my artist on what he can do to make it come out the best possible. like i said this was the first he did, and i had to beg him to do it! he's also my mentor so while he's learning this i am too
