sergical pens
i just got tattooed by oliver peck and he was using a marker that id never seen before. he said it was made by tim orth. i cant find this anywhere. it was about the size of a ball point pen insert, and made of brass (or some metal). the thing wrote on skin like grease paint. anyone know of this?

Re: sergical pens
OK, soooo...if the Spacepen refills are $5.00 and the Tim Hendricks refills are only $1.00 --- Is the spacepen THAT much better?

Re: sergical pens
Looks like each. And that's the cost of the refills. The actual spacepen is $30, and the Hendricks pen is $15. Keeping in mind that I have to throw them away if I use them after I break skin, I'm asking if anyone can vouch for the quality of the Hendricks refills. Everyone I know uses Sharpies, but I would like something that doesn't bleed-out once it hits skin. I tried the tattoo pen from Unimax. They work just like a sharpie but stay on REALLY well. And at 50 cents each ($0.40 if you buy a box of 'em), you can't beat that. I thought the medium points bled-out too fat, never tried the fine point ones. I'm guessing they'll do the same.

Re: sergical pens
I use the hendricks pens daily and they work great. They come in a bunch of colors for building up lines and you can get precision lines that would easily rival a stencil line. They hold up on skin well, provided you're using the appropriate color. I use the red for roughing out a design and then follow with the blue to clean up and solidify the design. The red will rub off easily, but the blue holds up really well. I dunno bout the space pens, I'm just an amateur astronaut!!!!!
