The scanner looks like it has washed out the colors some, I can tell by the color differential in the flowers mostly, but that's an equipment issue and has nothing to do with the art, those waxy colored pencils do that s&!t sometimes.
Line weight on some of the vine/leaves are off. For a fairly symmetrical piece you have a red highlight on the top of one wing and not the other. the scratchy red orange at the base of the Butterfly's body makes it look like an unfinished piece, I would continue with that and add some flowing blue tone background at the top of the body surrounding the antennae.
All in all, it looks great.

i think it turned out pretty knarly

I find nothing wrong with replicating art for training. You weren't trying to pass it off as your own. No different than the Dali piece Jess did.
