Default surge protector?

i finally got some spare money and replaced my old powersupply with a eikon ems300. this was quite the investment for me money wise as all my money always seemes tied up , so...is it worth it to get a surge protector? i am curious if it affects how it will run or anything by using a surge protector, id really like to keep my power supply safe and sound.

I'm just an apprentice tattooing so i cannot offer my advice there. However, For years i raced remote controlled cars on a professional level and we used similar power supply units for running our motor dynos, and lathes for turning the armatures. They had to be very accurate to dyno the out put of an electric motor. I never once noticed a change in voltage or amperage when using a surge protector. I would use one if I were you. Cant be too safe with equipment...Just my .02
