Rufus- red/chocolate pit needs forever home

I work at an animal er in jax, florida. one of my co-workers found an emaciated red/chocolate neutered male pit wandering near her home. he had a string of a collar around his neck with "Rufus" on it. He had been in our care for a few months now and has gained weight, his skin and coat look great and he is being socialized between two different foster homes and spending time up at the hospital as a greeter. He is an incredible dog and a has soul-piercing eyes looking for someone to commit to him forever. He is loyal and protective, but listens well. He is shy/unsure when meeting a new man especially when he is around the women who have been taking care of him. However, he is in homes with multiple dogs, cats and seems to just fit in where he can and goes with the flow of the house. he was tested and is negative for HW. I have alot of pics, but wanted to go ahead and post. Please help me find a forever home for him- he deserves it and we are all becoming very attached the longer he is here. thank you for your time!!

My sister lives in Jax/Atlantic Beach, and was raised on a farm with every f@#king animal you can imagine. The Vet would even call her and her mom when they had no room left for animals. She can't take him, but she is going to share this page and ask around a bit for you.

thanks a bunch. i have some really great pics, just can't seem to get them posted here. they are on my facebook and i can e-mail them if anyone wants. he is definitely a dog to see. i really appreciate your help and your sisters' spreading the word. it is so hard to find people who understand and appreciate what good dogs they are!

Go to the photos and hit refresh on the page so that they are not open in that little black box thing that Facebook does. Then right-click on them and select Copy Image Location. Come over here and paste that link between [ img ] and [ /img ]. Remove the spaces within the brackets.

Or, upload them to imageshack.us or Photobucket and paste the bbcode link.
