Default Is MIxing styles okay?

I am about to get a somewhat traditional Japanese dragon half sleeve. On my other arm I want a cartoon style half sleeve by Josh Woods. Of course I am not sure yet if he will be able to cover my current tattoo (see avatar)

Do you think it is okay and will look good to mix such contrasting styles? Or should you stay with one style on both arms?

Opinions?

why keep everything all one style?thats likehaving corn flakes everyday for 20 yrs. switch it up i say. that is the reason you are drawn to each artist isn't it?

I agree about mixing the styles. I have some some oldskool pinups in black and greywash, I have have added a color piece Taylor Cort is working on. Some people have it all planned out and others tattoos are more of a journey that evolves. I figure if you like different styles it will represent just that.

mix it up and suprise yourself. i have old biker work from gene benardo's body artworld and tony rodriguez, oldschool from tony the pirate cambria, neo-traditionald from mike schweigert, mitch perkins, robert ryan aka binky and carmine matelliano, tons of goofy s&!t i put on myself, a portrait from willy G hazard as well as a bunch of jack rudy stuff, new school from vinnie kapalewski. got some regular ole style tattoos from scott winters and still planning on way more from lots of other guys. i like to think i collect artists as well as artwork. problem is, i dont travel much, so they're all guys from jersey, hahahaha...........

I would call my self a collector also. I have learned to travel for better work. I drove 9 hours round trip last weekend to visit Taylor Cort in Asheville,NC. I will be driving about 7 hours round trip this weekend. I have a sitting with Joe Capobianco. He is , luckily for me, doing a guest spot in Charlotte NC. I am ready for a collaboration next. Maybe in Atlanta ...hint hint......
