yep thats the one, im curious about this one, it sounds like its probably gonna be a pretty good ps, we make ps that have 10k and 14k smoothing caps. what is regarded as the most bullet proof powersource circuitry has been around for along time. its all about putting it together well with the right parts. I think that in our highend model we will try and put it together without the use of a circuit board, just frames and really heavy gauge wire, it should last for just about ever.

I hope it is side mountable because the phono plug locations would put a crimp in a cord no time if what I see is the top of the unit.

I'm just going to switch to these for my clip cord/RCA cords once I get the General power supply.

Everyone over at our shop in Japan has one. Steady clean power, no fluctuations ever. The numbers and multiple channels make it easy to swap settings, and give you a good rough guide when building machines. No complaints at all with them.

That's cool mate, if that's what draws you to the EMS 300, then by all means go with what you feel will be right for you. All the little extra "features" are unneeded really. I think too many people get caught up on the numbers their PSU displays..... I'm more concerned about consistent and clean current from my PSU, not numbers and unneeded gimmicks.

Understandable.......Im not an artist yet so thats all I have to go by is looks and that goes for all tattoo equipment, I have no hands on knowledge, at all, so all I have to go by is articles and any feedback I may read on forums and such........but with that being said............Are the features useless on the 300? As this is the first time I've heard this feedback also...........Why do so many legendary artists in the industry have 300's......(Im only going by what I've seen in magazines and the web).......I honestly don't know if some of these same artists have any other PS or not............Does anyone know actual specs on the 300 vs any other PS?..........Is the difference between "The General" and the EMS 300 in the smooth power delivery department, that much of a gap in performance?

the ems-300 is not a magic piece of equipment thats going to make you tattoo like b.b. or nick baxter or whatever. the "numbers" are different for every individual tattooer, i mean that there are no magic numbers. what they do though, is help you tune your machines the same everytime, making it a little bit more predictable to run your machines how you like. but you have to know how you like your s&!t to run. this is what i like, and it also puts out very clean power. i do agree that for the most part the numbers are really un-needed, but if your always taking your s&!t apart, and you want to run the same when you put it back together, then its nice to have, or if your building a million of them a week like F.K.. hope this helps
