Default 6 wrap coils

I recently had a next generation rebuilt with 6 wrap coils by a local machine builder. I noticed it takes alot less power to run the machine, but it seems like it almost hits too fast to get an even color blend. I use my pulse septa for almost all my coloring, but tried this 6 wrap setup, and then asked this guy why six wraps. Anyway, does anyone know anything good about six wraps, or is this guy a s&!tty builder? I Understand the basic theory behined spring tension stroke and the such, but this machine runs weird now.

6 wraps are generally put in liner machines. I guess take a close look at the spring set up and see if he didnt turn your machine into a liner? shrug.
