Shops have been closed after the owners have spent thousands on their new location because a local church decided to push the issue stating that "the tattoo industry increases crime and drug use, and decrease property values". I suggest you all search the local laws and codes in your area and see what kind of discrimination they have written into the legal system to make us seem like we are destroying america.

i think as to do with the township or borough, a couple years ago i worked in a borough that told us, that since we were zoned as an adult business that if we were not fully clothed while we were tattooig we were not allowed to charge.

In south beach you need to be close to a tattoo shop or stripclub to be able to open a church or school.

several places in ny also wont allow shops near schools and churchs. some cities wont allow them period. so every shop is grouped in a tiny little area. its so much fun *note the sarcasm*

I live up here in Portland, Oregon and we have the most strip clubs per capita and #5 on the most tattooed cities in the USA. There is a very low crime rate here...problably cause people are either getting tattooed or getting a lap dance. heehee.

Johnstown Colorado, Told me and my buiness partner not olny NO but Hell No! the town council put this in a letter when they denied our permit, because in small town usa i guess they have a marxist clause in rental agreements because the town has to allow any and all new buisnesses from moving into there 1 red light town! they wrote "we are a small farm town and a (art gallery) would be ok as long as all the artwork was tasteful: But a Tattoo shop does not fit in with the morallity code that our town is governed by" So tired of the bible thumpers
