Not happy w/ my first tattoo...need opinions..

Just checked tims myspace. Holy-f@#k. The s&!t u did in 30mins looks better than mine and i sat there for 2+hrs i know of. Ill be there in april man. Im actually excited about my tat now!!!

I agree. Not to knock another artist - but you need some more contrast in that tattoo. Too much skin showing - needs more depth and black. Go try another artist...
Myself, if I did that - I'd be thinking "What can I do to make this tattoo 'pop' more, have more depth and boldness. This tattoo is 'there' but lacks standing out like one should. To 'basic-looking.' Just my $ .02 and I'm not Bond myself...

I thought you weren't supposed to use soap like Dial when your tattoo is healing? Also it looks like it may have dried out during the healing process. If you have a soft handed artist that works slow (and maybe a little too shallow), then the possibility of it fading is a lot higher. I like the idea of the piece, but I hope you were just leaving room for more added elements later, because there is a lot of canvas left to be worked. It looks like it needs a touch-up. At least it's not blown all the f@#k out.

I have all my clients wash their new tattoo with Dial or another good soap with COLD water after arriving home and removing the soiled bandage. This has been the 'standard' for many years and I have not have any problems thus far with this regimen.
