Default What would you do? (Tattoo Artist Issue)

so i'm 100% not trying to start any sh*t but i need to get some feedback.

here's the deal, jace masula did a tattoo for me in charleston, sc before he moved onto all or nothing and it was great, but he only got the line work and shading done. he promised he would come back to charleston to finish the work and that was in the spring of '08. over time we sent emails back and forth and he said he was coming to town but then would never call me. now it's '10 and i see he is coming to augusta for the tattoo convention so i email him and he gets back to me and we set up a time for saturday. now i find out that he may not be at the convention anymore, but he won't email me back to let me know. i know that charleston isn't super far from atlanta and i could go down there at some point, but that would require me to take off work and lose money by not working and have to pay for hotels and gas and all that, plus it's a principle thing, don't make a promise you can't deliver. honestly what am i supposed to do??? i'm not bad mouthing jace or all or nothing in any way what so ever, i'm just at the end of my rope and just want this thing finished, 2 years is a long f'n time to wait

mike

It is a long time to wait, but if it were me, I'd have made the trip. You have to know someone in Atlanta that would hook you up with a couch or something. Or you could drive down with a friend early in the morning, and be on your way back after the appointment.

I agree that a promise is a promise, but at the end of the day you have to do what you have to do to get the work you want.

On the bright side, Jace has been improving his art every single day since your last appointment. So now just think about how much more badass it is going to be. I mean, he was a badass before, but now he is beyond that.
