The tattoo apprentice.
Everyone has seen Miami Ink,.. L.A. Ink,.. and Tattoo Wars, and as all of you know those shows have spawned a lot of people that think they can tattoo.
I would like to see a show that will inform all the people out there that it is NOT as easy as T.V. makes it look. Show people what an apprentice has to go through on a day to day.
What Y'all think?

no, the apprentice should not get a show. they must not get any recognition for holdin the artists hanky when they sneeze and cleaning the bathroom...well unless the apprentice is really, really hott wit big boobs. I can't stop! BOOBS are my life.

All depends on how the apprentice got the apprenticeship. Are they a paying apprentice that does all the non-tattooing stuff or are they someone that's had a liking taken to them and thereby taken under the artist's wing pro bono? I wouldn't go as far as an entire show, but maybe a side blurb every now and then, like just before they go to a commercial or right after they come back from one, but only for about 30 seconds or so then it's back to the action. Whatever! Those shows aren't about tattooing anyway. They're about the stories behind why the clients are getting them and VERY little else.

those shows suck. most of those people with their sad stories suck too!

Believe me, no one would want to have watched my apprenticeship on tv... plus they would have to put cameras in all of cars since we spent so much time in them...

really how exciting would have it to been to have watched me do a publix run? or go and get food.

Although that one time when I went to subway and ordered a sandwich for Albie would have made for great tv.. "ok now... I need to evenly space those pickles out so none of them are touching but there is less than a quarter inch between them"... they hated me at subway after that day...

I never said it would be an exciting show,.....
I would like to show the cold hard truth behind tattooing. Not the crap that they show now. (Tattoo Wars is excluded, good show) Let the public know how it is,.... not all of us are mail-order tattoo kit artists. Give everyone a chance to see what all we give up to do what we do, and let all the little kiddies out there see that this is NOT a get rich quick profession, like TLC makes it out to be.
