Firearms and Martial Arts buffs, where ya at?

Might as well get to know who on the board would be fellow gun nuts, and martial artists.

I've been in to the martial arts for nearly 30 years, Since 92, my focus has been Muay Thai and Kali, then in 95 I added Brazlian Jiu-jitsu to the mix. I had my first MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fight in 1993. If you don't know what "MMA" is, tune into the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) this Saturday for a clear picture...

I used to own an MMA school here in Atlanta, one in Porto Alegre Brazil, and Johannesburg South Africa. For those that are MMA geeks, you'll appreciate being in business with a Master level Brazilian BJJ guy. My partner and coach had a brother who was the CEO of Taurus Firearms, so we damn sure integrated firearms into our BJJ training!

Gun nut all the way as well, and for as long as I can remember.
I am a former Army Infantry vet, so I love any firearm that I can get my hands on. I got to play with some cool pieces while in the Army, and just as many since I got out. For a while I was building custom AR15's on the side. No big deal, they're easy to build, the art is choosing the right parts. None the less, I've infected my wife and 4 year old with firearms. My 4 year old can tell you what a three layer perimeter is.

Come into my house uninvited and it might be my four year old blowing your head off. She's ready for the zombie apocalypse! Or she'll hit you with a Thai Roundhouse in the thigh, take ya down and arm bar ya...

I'm not a doting dad or anything...

Anyways, I thought it might be cool to find the kindred spirits around here.

I been training Penjak Silat & JKD for I dont know how long

.....with some Pekiti Tirsia Kali (Knife).
I will usually train with Mica (Machado Jiu-Jitsu) from time to time....& I'll be at UFC 100 tonight!!!

I think that we may be long lost siblings....
Which is entirely possible because I have family in Vegas!

Like you, I'm a 1911 bigot, love em love em love em. Naturally, I have the Glock offspring, but I have those because of a "relationship" that I have within Glock.

Noveske!! LOVE Noveske. Well done. I'm also a devotee to LaRue. In fact, the only gas guns I have are from Noveske and LaRue. I bought hard into the piston driven AR thing. Just did a group buy as a matter of fact of 20 LWRC's. Not all mine of course!

On my next trip to LV, we will have to get up. My uncle is a huge gun nut, and my cousin is one hell of an attorney. So perhaps we could go shoot some stuff up, start a bar brawl, and get out of jail...

The only LaRue I have is the Optic mounts ...all my rails are either Daniel Defense or SWS....
My brother went the LWRC SBR rout too...AWSOME!!!

ohhhhhhhhhhh.... gimme more baby!!!!!!!! thats a sick collection! i dont have anything cool like that just a handfull of AKs hand guns a sweet shotgun i cant post pics of and absolutley no sniper rifles...... id like to get some but i never have the time to go and dial them in and keep my skills hot.

i enjoy MMA but im a boxer. id rather watch 8 rounds of flyweights than 2 rounds of heavyweights but id rather watch the heavys over MMA... im just lame like that! awesome collection of pieces there fellas!
