sounds like you did the first thing right, you chose a professional artist with a good rep. no telling what happened during healing process, I would wait a long time before trying to repair the work, youve got time, a good long wait (couple months) will give the area time to heal fully. then your artist or another can rework this area and give you the piece you were looking for. I would recommend Vince Villavalzo at All or Nothing. He has rescued some older rough work on me and his portfolio shows many a great coverup and rework. no knock on the original artist but we sometimes lose confidence in that person and would feel better working with someone else........just my 2 cents worth
