Voltage matters greatly yet isnt a number that can really be compared too much since every machine and artists preferences are different. Less voltage def means less abrassive/aggressive. When I run my fav 11 mag shader i run about 7.8-8 to whip in some solid black quickly then turn down to 7-7.2 for washing. Another shader I have runs much lower. There are so many little things that can change a machine. Each is def unique.
