Re: Pulse Watson Liner, what's up with the speed of this machine?

Sometimes machines get knocked out of tune due to mishandling of the packaging when in transit to the end user. If you know what to look for as far as numbers and a basic machine tuning knowledge you...

Re: Hori Smoku

Great documentary! I bought it soon after it's release on DVD. I've watched it countless times. Philadelphia Eddie's interviews are the best!

Re: If not practice skins then what???

My first few apprentice tattoos that weren't on myself were on willing "friends" but then a lot of the "friends" disappeared when I started charging for them. I'm grateful for their "skin donations"...

Thumbs up Re: Eikon EMS-300 vs. Critical Tattoo CX-2

**UPDATE**

I've had the EMS-300 for a few weeks and I have no complaints. The presets allow for a quicker change between machines like when I change from my liner to my shader and vice versa....

Re: If not practice skins then what???

My first practice tattoos are on my thighs right above my knee. After that, I called in friends who were down for free small tattoos like kanji or anything small and solid black really. I was told...

Re: "Scratchers"

It's something like 10 years or more, right?? Depending on when they think you're ready. And the title of "hori" isn't given to you either until then.

Re: trace pad lightbox?

I was debating between a thin LED light tracing pad I saw on World Wide Tattoo Supply's site for like $60 or a 10" by 12" regular light box from a local art supply store. I didn't think of having to...

Talking Re: Eikon EMS-300 vs. Critical Tattoo CX-2

UPDATE: Just ordered the EMS-300 from Eikon last friday. Should be arriving at the shop late next week. I'm excited.

I've been stuck with an inferior power supply with a single-turn knob for a...

Re: Eikon EMS-300 vs. Critical Tattoo CX-2

It is very convenient, I agree. The adjustable magnetic mount, which was mentioned here earlier, is also worthwhile in my opinion. It frees up more workspace.

Re: Eikon EMS-300 vs. Critical Tattoo CX-2

That was one of the main reasons I was considering the CX-2, I've worked with it before and I liked how easy it was to maintain everything clean. I'd like to test-drive the eikon and really make my...

Re: Eikon EMS-300 vs. Critical Tattoo CX-2

Re: Brandon Bonds SYIH and Whore the book are both half off!!!

'Whore' is a great read, it's what got me interested in all things AoN. I borrowed another artists copy of it and I now want my own copy!

Re: Eikon EMS-300 vs. Critical Tattoo CX-2

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Would you say that if it wasn't for the issue of incompatibility with your rotary machines, would you still stick with the Eikon?

Eikon EMS-300 vs. Critical Tattoo CX-2

These are the two power supply options I'm thinking about purchasing. I found myself explaining the pros and cons of each one to a fellow artist and ended up almost convincing myself on getting the...
