(Emma about 55lbs then, 85lbs now Great Pyrenees) when we were picking her up from the shelter.

All dogs are rescues. Dusty was from Southern Hope and we got him as a puppy. Simo and Emma are from Atlanta Pet Rescue. Both were rescued severly underweight and had "mental baggage". They were about 2 years old when we got them. Simo is still extremely dog agressive. We had to spend weeks just getting him used to Emma. Emma is still a little creeped out by cars, terrified by storms and just about anything outside of the house. But when she's in the house, she's crazy protective of the property. She doesn't play with people but loves to play with Dusty.

I would really love to know what happened to these guys. But they're in a better place now with us.:laughing8:

This picture was taken a little over a year ago on Kodiak's very first day home. I fell in love with this dog while volunteering at a no-kill shelter. He'd come in as a stray and been there for five years!
