If he is so overrated and arrogant then why is it you had to ask him how to tune a machine you bought from pulse??

Hey. We are all entitled to our own opinions, even if they are lame and uncalled for.

You may not like Brandon Bond, But you cant Deny the effort that he's put into getting as far as he has.

The man eats, Breathes and Sleeps Art. All forms of it.

If you take the time, to try to talk to the man, He's a one of the smartest people i know!

Like my hubby said, He's very deep into PitBull Rescue. The love that Brandon has for his dogs is probably one of the raddest things EVER!

Of course you stomp down anyone who stands in front of you, thats not just Brandon. Thats in any profession, you do NOT allow people to stand in your ways of your dreams.

So if Being Confident is Arrogant, then so be it..

Not only is Brandons work Flippin Fabulous, look at all the people whom work for him. He's put all he has into teaching what he knows, to the next person. He wants to see the Art form move foward, even after he stops tattooing.

You can feel the confidence in him, and its a total inspiration to me!

I think parabellum hit the nail on the head!

Oh and the funny thing is, if Brandon is So arrogant, why would he have a TECHNICAL Section of the Message board, where he offers some help to those who need it?

Just a Thought?

On most forums this thread would just have gotten locked immediately.

Not here. Here, the family comes out to show our support and none of us have even really flamed the thread poster that badly.

Brandon is an icon. He built an empire out of nothing, with help from some of the greatest artists in the business, by working 12-16 hour days for the last 14 years.

Most of us can only wish to be half as successful in whatever we do, as Brandon has been in the world of tattoo.

If you met him and talked to him for 30 seconds, you would feel very differently about him. I know its hard to believe, but its true. Meet the guy and it will change your mind for the better.

It is absolutely True. I value Brandons Friendship and Me and my family definately consider him family.
I havent had the pleasure of meeting him in Person just yet, but i will in august. Anyways... The point being is that Just working with him on some online things, and talking to him, and seeing his deep love for what he believes in has made me totally value him and his friendship!

ANd Chris, you definately said it Correctly, We arent not really bashing the thread poster, we are more standing up and supporting our friend, mentor, boss, inspiration, and family!

Re: Bond is overrated

I'm just a street shop tattoo kid that wanted to do something with my life bro and I made it up as I went along, just like all of us, just like you just did.

Arrogant: no sir.

If anything I would think more so my kindness is often mistaken for weakness, I have absolutely nothing but respect for tattooers and have given my life to those artists who come down to Atlanta to work with us. I am not bagging on any artists and have never and will never, even though I am in fact in a position to do so on a much larger scale than you just did. On a much larger playing field, and with much more focus. I would never publicly berate or belittle anyone regardless of my personal feelings, out of respect.

Respect for the Industry, Respect for their families, their income, their children, and RESPECT FOR MYSELF.

I would not go onto someones website and write about what a pussy they are either. To put others down in an attempt too validate my own life was something I was not raised around. To work as hard as you can, to be proud of what you do, and to help those closest to you was in fact what I was raised around. Which of the two are arrogant in structure my new friend?

"overrated"? I'm not sure how people are "rated" in tattooing as art is completely subjective, however I will be the first to admit that my own personal artistic growth has been completely stagnated by my attention being focused on other things constantly.

My art has suffered yes, and so have I. Tours, ads, websites, movies, books, seminars, interviews, my staff and their own personal lifes and needs, emails, phone calls, etc... have left me with very little time for artwork and for that I do in fact believe that I have failed to grow as rapidly as some at this point toward the end of my career.

It was a conscious decision I made, at the fork in the road, "business vs art" was an extremely difficult quandary. I chose business.

And as the result, 72 people now are involved in something amazing and inspiring where everyone is growing waaaaaay faster than me. So my art suffered. Were making lives down here, families and babies and relationships and careers and as people come and go not one single person who has ever worked here can say they didn't grow. I sacrificed everything I am and everything I have and everything I was ever going to be to make this studio what it is and It cost me waaaaaay more than a little artist stagnation sir.

I'd take that deal again anytime.

And from a business perspective, common since and sheer finance will tell you that one artist can only produce so much revenue by himself no matter how good he is. If that is not enough money then it has to be generated by other means.

we made an omelet. sorry if your egg was broken.

im gonna go blow up fireworks now

hahahaaaaaa

If you ever get the chance please come down and lets talk in person at the shop, seriously I know if you got to know us you would change your mind about whatever you think you know.

for real.

ps - go saints.
