My husband is going through his apprentiship for tattooing and has done many tats, all wonderfull and good feedback. The latest was put on me and we have taken the same precautions as all my tats and this one got infected within 2 days. Gloves, sterilized equipment, same precautions as all tats. Could it be that this type of ink didnt agree with me or maybe my immune system was just low? Is there some reason for this that yall would know? Any feedback appreciated. When I got it well almost no ink was left and a little scaring.

no ink left and scarring sounds like he doesnt know what hes doing at all. if you had a reaction to ink, it wouldnt scarr.sounds like you got butchered!!

yeah if it was an allergic reaction the tattoo would be bubbling up or something crazy, by the sounds of it he hambugered your skin.it is possible you could have got ink poisoning but that would also be a result of him not knowing what he's doing.

Yea it was bubbling like crazy. Yellow puss and clear fluids coming out of it. He has done around 50 or more tats and they have all been awesome. None, hammered as you call it. After a week of antibiotics and dotor removing the scab off of it that hadnt already came off from staying wet with the infection and washing it, it is finally better. I think the scaring came mostly from being infected for 7 straight days and the doctor removing the scab.
